Abstract

Primary Ethmoidal Sinus Extra-nodal Lymphoma: A Rare Case

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of paranasal sinuses is rare, especially if it is originating from the ethmoidal sinus. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most prevalent subtype of NHL in the paranasal sinuses. Primary Paranasal lymphoma can present with a variety of nonspecific symptoms often leading to a late diagnosis and worsened prognosis. We share our experience with a unique case of a 55-years-old Malay gentleman with ethmoidal sinus diffuse Large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) whose initial presentation was for rhino sinusitis symptoms and was treated with antibiotics and also endoscopic sinus surgery. Patient symptoms worsened after surgery, where there was rapid increase of swelling over the left cheek with left eye proptosis. An obvious mass was notable over his left eye causing his vision to completely diminished.
